Who we are:

Hello! Our names are Nate and Cassie, and we'll be celebrating 12 years of marriage in May! We love to have fun and experience new things, so we travel whenever we can-- we just returned from a whirlwind trip in Ireland! A typical day for us includes a lot of music, reading, and playing with our dogs— Nala, Frank, and Beans.

What we do:

Nate is a data analyst at The Ohio State University and an adjunct professor of mathematics. He primarily works from home, and is excited to have a little one join him during the day!

Cassie currently works at Ohio State University, supporting the Statistics Department. She has a hybrid schedule and works two days at home every week!

About our families:

We both come from tight-knit families, and we are very close with our parents and siblings. Combined, we have 14 nieces and nephews. Being an engaged aunt and uncle has been a very fulfilling experience, and we can't wait to be parents ourselves. We are enthusiastic about providing the children in our home with every opportunity to learn new things, pursue their interests, and to experience a nurturing environment.

How we chose adoption:

We stayed in Central Ohio after we were married, and tried to start a family. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful and, after a few years of treatments, decided to take some time off to reconnect and re-evaluate our next steps. After about 3 years of researching and talking together, we became very confident that we would be a good fit as adoptive parents! Since our decision and with the help of the JustChoice team, we have learned so much about this process and we wholeheartedly believe in this path for family-building.

Parenthood has been a dream of ours since we first married, and various obstacles have made us put that dream aside for many years. We are confident that this path is the right one for us, and we are incredibly grateful to have found JustChoice to help us move forward.
